Terms of Service

1. Who you are dealing with

Wasdary (wasdary.com, the “Service”) is operated by a single private individual, as a personal non-commercial project. There is no company, no advertising and no revenue. Contact: support@wasdary.com — that address reaches the operator directly, and the operator's full identity is given on request.

By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

2. Accounts and minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and we ask you to confirm this when you register, together with your acceptance of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will close it and delete its data.

Give accurate information when you register, keep your password to yourself, and take responsibility for what happens under your account. One person, one account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

3. Acceptable use

Do not:

• post unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, deliberately misleading or infringing content in reviews or usernames;
• impersonate someone else, or post reviews on behalf of a publisher or store without saying so;
• disrupt or overload the Service, scrape it at scale, or try to reach parts of it you are not authorised to reach;
• use the Service to break the law or to infringe anyone else’s rights.

4. What you write

Your reviews stay yours. You give us permission to host and display them within the Service, which is simply what publishing them here means; you can edit or delete them whenever you like.

The scores you give games are published in the same way: they count towards the public score on each game’s page, and a sample of them is shown on your profile next to the games they belong to. Removing a score removes it from both. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is public and what never is.

You are responsible for what you post, and we may remove content that breaks these Terms. When a review is removed by a moderator we keep an internal record of it — including its text and your username, for 24 months — so that the decision can be explained if you dispute it. This is described in full in our Privacy Policy. If you think something posted here about you or your work should not be, write to support@wasdary.com.

5. Game data and prices — please read this one

Game information comes from IGDB. Prices and store links are collected automatically from third-party feeds published by Steam, Gamesplanet, MacGameStore, GamersGate, GameBillet and the Microsoft Store. We do not set them, we cannot correct them at the source, and we have no control over whether a store keeps its feed accurate.

What that means in practice, stated plainly rather than buried:

• Prices are refreshed daily where we can, and some are older than that — a discount may already have ended, or a new one may not be shown yet. Prices for a game nobody has looked at in a while can be considerably out of date.
• Most games show no price at all. The catalogue is far larger than the set of games our sources price, and a missing price does not mean the game is unavailable or free.
• Prices and availability vary by country. An offer shown here may not be purchasable, or may cost something different, where you are.
• Prices, discounts, currency conversions and “lowest ever” figures may be incomplete, delayed or simply wrong. Converted amounts are estimates from daily reference rates and are not what you will be charged.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, and no price shown here is binding on anyone. The only price that counts is the one the store shows you at the moment you pay. Always check it there before buying.

Any purchase is a contract between you and that store, on their terms. We are not a party to it, we take no part in it, and we cannot help with orders, keys, delivery, refunds or support — those go to the store.

No store link on the Service is an affiliate link. We receive no commission, fee or other consideration from any store, and no store pays for placement, ranking or visibility here. The Service carries no advertising. Rankings come from user votes and public data, nothing else.

If you spot a wrong price or a missing game, telling us at support@wasdary.com genuinely helps.

6. Donations

The Service is free. You may voluntarily contribute towards its running costs through the donation link on our support page. A donation is a gift towards those costs — it is not a purchase, not a subscription, and grants no rights, benefits, features or privileges of any kind. The Service is identical for donors and non-donors, and always will be. Donations are handled by a third-party platform under its own terms, are not refundable by us, and create no obligation on our part to provide, maintain or continue the Service.

7. No warranty, and the limits of our liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. It is run by one person in their spare time and paid for out of their own pocket: it may be slow, incomplete, or occasionally offline, and it may stop being available at all.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, nor for any loss arising from decisions taken on the basis of catalogue or price information — including a purchase made at a price different from the one shown here, or a purchase you would not have made had the data been accurate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for fraud, and any liability that mandatory consumer law reserves to you.

8. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms. A suspended account is not locked out: you stay signed in, you can still read your own data, download all of it, and delete your account — you simply cannot post or change anything public. If you think a decision was wrong, write to support@wasdary.com.

9. Our name, our logo, and this site’s own content

"Wasdary", the Wasdary logo, the shield emblem and the site icons are ours. They were made for this site and this site only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, redraw, recolour or reuse them, use them as an avatar, icon or profile picture, register them as a trademark or a domain name, or use them in any way that suggests we are involved with, endorse or sponsor you. The fact that an image can be downloaded from a web page is not permission to reuse it.

Naming us in an article, a review or a link is not what this clause is about: that is fine and needs no permission, as long as it does not alter the logo or mislead anyone about where something came from.

The pages, the texts and the way the catalogue is put together are ours as well. Game data, cover art, screenshots and prices are not: they belong to the publishers, developers and shops described in section 5, and nothing here claims otherwise.

10. Governing law, and changes to these Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you keep the right to bring proceedings before the courts where you live.
